Dr. Ronald M. Davis served as vice president for Academic and Student Affairs at Thomas Nelson Community College from 1996-2005. Previously he had also served as dean of Academic Affairs at Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Minneapolis, Minn., dean of Mathematics and Science at Dekalb College (now Georgia Perimeter), and professor of mathematics and computer science at Northern Virginia Community College.

Dr. Davis has a Ph.D. in mathematics education and an master's degree in mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park. His bachelor's degree in mathematics is from Albright College in Reading, Pa. He has taken additional graduate coursework in mathematics at George Washington University and attended the Institute for Retraining in Computer Science at Clarkson University, Potsdam, N.Y.

Dr. Davis has worked with business and industry in developing college programs to support manpower and training needs including Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding, AAR Corporation, and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Inc. He has also worked with the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard to provide service men and women with associate's degrees in high-need areas.
